What is eLearning?

eLearning is the use of technology to enable students to learn anytime and anywhere. We will use virtual eLearning Days for most days when school is closed due to inclement weather.

What will eLearning Days look like for teachers?

On eLearning Days, teachers will not report to work. They will ensure that students are engaged in relevant instruction through the school day.

Teachers in grades PreK-2 will assign a packet of work for students. Teachers in grade 3-12 will assign course material through Canvas based on their grade level as outlined below:

  • Grades 3-5: Assign course material through our Canvas platform prior to any designated day(s) in the 4 core areas equal to approximately 45 minutes per core subject.
  • Grades 6-8: Assign course material through our Canvas platform prior to any designated day(s) in all classes equal to approximately 45 minutes per each enrolled subject.
  • Grades 9-12: Assign course material through Canvas prior to any designated day(s) in all classes equal to approximately 90 minutes per each subject.

Teachers are responsible for ensuring that student work is complete, collected, and properly graded within 5 days of returning to school.
